A campaign to raise awareness of support available to individuals, families and businesses to help deal with the cost of living during the Winter, has been launched.
Government’s ‘Help for Households’ website, launched last year, has been updated. There’s also a free Winter help advice line designed for those without access to the internet or a computer.
The dedicated line can be contacted on 686262 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
Minister for the Cabinet Office, Kate Lord-Brennan, says the goal is to package all the support options available together as a central online resource for the community.
The Help for Households website features a comprehensive directory for those seeking support, or who wish to raise welfare concerns.
There’s also guidance for businesses around the scope and range of schemes available through the Department for Enterprise.
The Manx Lottery Trust may be able to provide community organisations with between £300 and £2,500 through its small grants scheme, to increase provision of community spaces.
